Access to clean water means less time travelling to fetch water and more time for work, school and home.
More clean water and clean toilets mean more kids at school.
When a community gets water they can start businesses, improve homes and take charge of their own futures.
663 million people in the world live without clean drinking water. That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide. The majority of these people live in isolated rural areas and spend many hours every day walking to collect water for their family.
Not only does walking for water keep children out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, the water they fetch often carries diseases. Access to clean water means education, income and health – especially for women and children.
By donating 5p from every reusable water bottle sold we support charity: water in bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries.
We chose to support charity: water as they consistently receive the highest grades available for accountability and transparency. Furthermore, private donors cover operating costs, meaning that 100% of our donation funds directly support water projects.
